JAFmaster – A dream comes true!
It’s always inspiring when people bring their visions to life! One of those individuals is Christoph Gruber from Vienna, who visited us just before the summer break and shared his exciting story with us.
Christoph is a musician and artist. The name KÖLBL has been familiar to him since childhood. He spent his early years in Aigen-Schlägl. For his extraordinary project, it was important to him to use local wood from the Bohemian Forest – a piece of home in every tone!
The idea of building a lightweight and resonant electric guitar emerged over 20 years ago. Initial sketches were made – and in 2024, this dream will finally come true!
Such a special project needs special people! That’s why Christoph sought the help of real professionals:
- Johannes Auly builds the neck
- Adam Wehsely-Swiczinsky shapes the body
- Frank Deimel handles the electronics
We, as manufacturers of tonewood for musical instruments, are proud that our local spruce wood is being used in the neck of this guitar.
Good to know:
By the way, the name JAFmaster is made up of the initials of the three professionals – creative minds at work!
We’re excited to see the finished guitar and hear its sound! Stay tuned!
