On Monday, July 31st, the day started right on time as Lehner Busreisen picked us up from the company premises with the party bus.
Our first stop was in Arbing, where we gained an exciting insight into the production of cross-laminated timber elements at LOC-Holz. We were particularly impressed by the precision with which the various wood lamellas are processed into stable and highly versatile elements.
After the company tour, we continued on to Gasthof Wirt in Auhof, where we recharged with a delicious lunch before moving on to the next part of the program.
In the afternoon, we headed to the Fun Action Park in Dorf an der Enns to try our hand at paintball. The hunt for the opposing teams was intense, and there were definitely moments when you had to stay sharp. Some of us took the game quite literally and returned from battle with a few bruises as “souvenirs” — a reminder of the action-packed hours that a few of us could still feel days later.
After paintball, we made our way back and ended the day at Wia z’haus Lehner with a relaxed and cheerful return trip.
It was a varied and exciting day – the perfect way to kick off our well-deserved company holiday.
